I had been searching for good Jowar Bhakri in Austin but never found one. Then I discovered Madhuri’s kitchen. I had the Bhaji Bhakri and Pitla Bhakri, both were pretty awesome. Good comforting food! Jowar roti’s are fresh, soft and piping hot. It’s run by a couple who are pretty sweet and homely. 100% recommend.
Had a great experience at Madhuri’s kitchen. Have visited multiple times and food has been excellent every time. The owners are great! Modak, Pitle bhakri, bhaji bhakri are a must try!
Madhuri’s Kitchen truly felt like home on a plate. Maharashtrian food is often simple, understated, and beautifully basic—but that simplicity is exactly what makes it so hard to get right. This place absolutely nailed it. The pithla was outstanding—comforting and exactly how I’ve always had it at home. But the true highlight of the meal was the bhakri, easily the softest I’ve ever had. It was perfect. And the thecha was the cherry on top, bringing the whole meal together beautifully. The sabudana vada was everything it should be: crisp on the outside, soft and light on the inside, and served warm like a hug. A complete 10/10 experience. It gave me a sense of home, thousands of miles away from home.
I recently visited Madhuri’s Kitchen with my family, and we had an amazing experience. The food is truly authentic Maharashtrian, and every dish was full of flavor. We tried Puran Poli, Sabudana Vada, Pithla Bhakri, Ukadiche Modak, Kairicha Panna, Patwadi Rassa, and Bharli Vangi—everything was absolutely outstanding. A big thanks to Madhuri and her husband for their warm hospitality. They serve food with so much kindness and care. Highly recommended!
If you’re looking for authentic Maharashtrian flavors, this place is a must-visit! We tried their thali with jowar bhakri & pithle, sabudana vada, and ukadiche modak — every single dish was bursting with flavor and tasted absolutely delicious. So happy to finally have such good Marathi food around Leander! Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving real Maharashtrian comfort food. Absolutely loved it! ❤️
If you’re craving authentic Maharashtrian flavors, this place is an absolute gem! We had a delicious food plate with jowar bhakri, bharit, pithle, thecha, sabudana khichadi, kothimbir wadi & ukadiche modak and everything tasted amazing. The food is homestyle, flavorful & truly comforting, just like it’s made in traditional Marathi kitchen. The vibe is chill and making it our go-to place whenever we’re in the mood for real Maharashtrian food. Highly recommended!! Loved the food, loved the vibe!!
